New Garda Chief Superintendent appointed to Laois Offaly and Kildare

Chief Superintendent Anthony Lonergan

Laois Offaly Kildare has a new Garda Chief Superintendent.  

Chief Superintendent Anthony Lonergan was appointed to Laois/Offaly and Kildare Garda Division on promotion from his role as Garda Superintendent based in Waterford. 

He replaces Laois resident, Chief Superintendent John Scanlan who retired from his role after 14 years at the helm in the  Division last April. 

His appointment was announced alongside appointments and allocations of Chief Superintendents and Superintendents today,  resulting from promotions and consequential transfers nationwide.
