Unreal mural of Shane Lowry unveiled at scene of Open victory in Royal Portrush PIC: The Open/Facebook
Shane Lowry's greatest victory has been immortalised in a stunning mural in Portrush where he won the Open Championship.
The Clara man won the prestigious tournament at the Northern Irish course five years ago. It was his first and so far only win in one of golf's four 'major' tournaments.
Lowry was last seen on a golf course finishing sixth at this year's renewal of the Open at Royal Troon in Scotland last week. After that win, the Open released a video promoting next year's tournament which will return to Royal Portrush.

The video shows a timelapse of a mural being painted on a building in Portrush. The picture depicts Shane holding the famous Claret jug aloft.
Shane will hope he can recapture the form he showed there in 2019 when he won the tournament by an incredible six strokes.
His next target is Olympic gold as he competes as part of Team Ireland alongside friend Rory McIlroy in Paris 2024.
