PLAYER RATINGS: How the Offaly hurlers rated in their loss to Waterford

Subs: David King - David King made one mistake when giving the ball away for a late Waterford point but apart from that, he showed his experience and was a steadying influence when introduced. Rating – 7.

Eoghan Cahill -Eoghan Cahill got a good point in his first possession, showing how good of an opportunist he is. He got on in the 41st minute and showed well for the ball. Rating – 6.

Jack Clancy - Jack Clancy gave Offaly a physical presence when he on and worked hard, putting in the hard yards and big hits. Rating – 6.

Patrick Taaffe - It was good to see Patrick Taaffe get a game and he has plenty of potential. He came on in the 52nd minute at a stage when Offaly began to get motoring and he contributed to this. Rating – 6.

Eoin Burke - Coolderry man Eoin Burke got his chance in the 56th minute and scored a good point, moving on some nice ball. Rating – 6.
