Mitsubishi Motors Ireland has revealed the pricing for the all-new Outlander, which has just gone on sale in Ireland.
The new Outlander is more advanced, more spacious, more economical and better equipped than previous generations yet it’s extremely fuel-efficient, delivering up to 58.9MPG, has the lowest emissions in its class and Band B road tax.
Available in a 5-seater 2 wheel drive or 7-seater 4 wheel drive manual and automatic, the all-new Outlander offers the best of all worlds – stunning design, incredible economy and over 40 safety, comfort and styling features as standard.
The Outlander is a unique blend of standout styling, superb versatility and immense economy. It can seat up to seven for the school run, or swallow a couple of mountain bikes whole, yet its footprint is smaller than that of most family estates.
The New Generation Outlander follows a clear design brief where in true Mitsubishi fashion, key directions were for an “engineer’s car” that blends a substantial look with clean surfaces. Understated yet assertive, Outlander’s exterior design is further enhanced by a slim front aerodynamic grille with stylish chromed strips, framed by sculptured wrap-around headlamps.
This same uncluttered quality look continues inside with high grade materials gracing a dashboard designed for better driver concentration, including ergonomic steering wheel controls as well as high-resolution and easy-to-read instrument displays.
The arrival of the new Outlander will herald the start of a new generation of global products for Mitsubishi Motors, with “Global Small”, Mitsubishi Motors all-new offering in the B-segment, arriving in Ireland in early 2013, followed by a plug-in hybrid version of the Outlander.
All models in the new Outlander range will deploy the Mitsubishi built, ultra efficient 2.2L DI-D Clean Diesel Engine. This 16v 4-cylinder common rail direct injection engine delivers up to 150bhp and 380 Nm of torque.
The ultra efficient 2.2L diesel engine delivers best in class emissions for the new Outlander which start at 126g/km for the 5-seater manual, placing it in category B for road tax, while fuel economy has been increased and now returns a positively frugal fuel consumption figure of up 58.9 MPG.
The Outlander is one of the safest vehicles on the roads, achieved through a comprehensive package of features which are standard on all models. This includes: Driver’s and Front Passenger Airbag, Side and Curtain Airbags, Driver’s Knee Airbag, Active Stability & Traction Control, ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist, rearview monitor and ESS (Emergency Stop System) – all as standard on all models.
The new Outlander comes with one highly equipped standard specification level across all three models in the range. This will include:

Two models in the new Outlander range come equipped with selectable 4-wheel drive, which offers the benefits of 2WD for normal road conditions and 4WD for improved safety and traction when towing, driving in bad weather conditions or driving off road.
Commenting on the new Outlander, Gavin Flood of Mitsubishi Motors Ireland said: “Since the first model Outlander launched in Ireland over five years ago, over 1,500 have been sold on the strength of their styling, performance, economy and value for money. The new Outlander range will build and improve on those characteristics and we are confident it will remain one of the most popular choices in the segment.”
