The late Paschal Judge taking part in an Edenderry St Patrick's Day parade
Tributes are being paid in Edenderry this week after the sad death of well-known local man Paschal Judge.
Paschal was known throughout Edenderry and regularly took part in the town's St Patrick's Day parade. He was a mainstay on the town in his mobility scooter, fitted with huge speakers, from which he blared classic dance music. He was a well-loved local character.
Paschal passed away unexpectedly at home surrounded by his loving family, according to his RIP.ie death notice. He is predeceased by his parents Susan and Patrick, sister Chrissie and brother John. He will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family: wife Eileen, daughter Susan, sons Dwayne, Paschal (Jnr) and John Paul, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Louise, Bridget and Karen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The Edenderry Parade committee were among the first to pay tribute. They said: "Our condolences to Pascal Judge who has sadly passed away. He was the first applicant into the Edenderry Parade every year. You may know him as the guy out on his mobility scooter blasting music, bring great tunes and lots of smiles to the people of Edenderry. RIP Paschal. You will be missed."

Another tribute read: "Had spoken to him three weeks ago in Tullamore, what a wonderful personality. Miss the hearing the tunes blasting around Edenderry already. "Cheri, Cheri Lady" was the last song I heard from those speakers. R.I.P you legend."
A third added: "Deepest condolences to all the family on the passing of a true gent and Edenderry has lost its music man."
A neighbour wrote: "Deepest condolences to Eileen and family and all the extended Judge family on the very sad passing of Paschal. Castleview Park won't be the same without our very own music man. He was a pure gentleman. May Paschal Rest In Peace & bring life and soul to heaven with his music as he did to all of us here on earth."
