Adrian Farrell
A NEW Offaly minor football manager has been appointed.
Edenderry man, Adrian Farrell was rubber stamped as the new manager at a meeting of the Offaly GAA County Board on Tuesday evening. He replaces Shannonbridge's Roger Ryan who was promoted to U20 football manager after guiding Offaly to the Leinster Minor Football Championship this year.
Farrell's backroom team has not been unveiled yet. He has managed Daingean in recent years, guiding them to the Intermediate Football Championship in 2023 while they have been beaten in the last two Senior “B” Football Championship semi-finals under his watch – eventual champions Clonbullogue beat them in 2024 while they suffered a devastating 1-22 to 1-12 extra time defeat to Ballinagar last Saturday, letting victory slip from their grasp in normal time.

While Farrell has been appointed on a one year term, the County Board are likely to be looking at longer than that as there is a team with good prospects emerging in two years time and some of them will go onto the panel this year.
