Bargains Galore in Edenderry
A popular pound shop in Offaly has had to deny selling bangers and fireworks ahead of Halloween after social media rumours.
The Bargains Galore shop, located opposite O'Connell Square in Edenderry, issued an update on Facebook on Wednesday after getting wind of the online rumours.
The store posted: "It has been brought to our attention that is was mentioned on Facebook that Bargains Galore has been selling fireworks and bangers etc.
"Just to clarify, this is not true, Bargains Galore never have and never will be selling fireworks and bangers etc."

They concluded: "Also, we would like to take this moment to wish everyone a very happy and safe Halloween."
