Hugely popular Cannonball rally returning to Offaly this year
The hugely popular supercar spectacle Cannonball is returning to Edenderry in 2024.
The finish line of the event was held in Edenderry in 2019 with thousands of people lining the streets to welcome the drivers and have a look at the many supercars on display.
It has now been confirmed that the event will return this year for a full loop of the town before heading on the road throughout the country.
The loop will take place on Friday morning, September 6, when cars like McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Maserati, Rolls Royce and Bentley will blaze a trail through the town before heading around Ireland from September 6-8.
Organisers are working on the exact route that the event will take but the plan is to come around the back of the town via the new road and then roll slowly through JKL Street so the drivers can put on a show and spectators will get to see the cars.

The best viewing points will be at the Canal Harbour roundabout and all the way up JKL Street to the Square. Cannonball has already raised €1.6 million for Irish charities and, this year, the official charity of Cannonball is the Jack and Jill Childrens Foundation.
Cannonball is the brainchild of Kildare businessman Alan Bannon and the benefit to the host towns for this event is estimated at €2,567,000 per year. Cannonball will be fuelled by milesPlus from Circle K as the main headline Sponsor for 2024.
