Free parking in Edenderry on Saturdays leading up to Christmas

Initiative aimed at getting shoppers to shop local

Shops in Edenderry have been given a pre-Christmas boost as the council has agreed to allow free parking in the town on the three Saturdays leading up to Christmas starting this Saturday, December 9.

The council is also allowing two hours free parking on Monday to Friday from Monday, December 11 until Thursday, December 22. However, these two hours must be used consecutively and not spread out throughout the day.

During this busy period shoppers are being asked to remember that normal road safety rules still apply and parking must be in accordance with Offaly County Council Bye Laws. Anyone who does not obey these laws will be fined as normal.
