It's feared a tragedy may be unfolding after a serious fire broke out at a house in Co Offaly evening.
It's understood the blaze broke out in the Castleview Park, Edenderry after 7pm.
The Tullamore Tribune/ Offaly Live understands the house was occupied at the time and there was at least one adult and a child in the house.
"Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fire at a residential property in Edenderry, Co. Offaly.
An Garda Síochána was alerted to the fire at approximately 7.45pm this evening, Saturday 6th December 2025," Gardai said in a statement tonight.
