Offaly County Council announce three surprise art exhibitions
Offaly County Council has announced three surprise art exhibitions featuring the work of some of their staff members.
In a statement, the council said, "We are fortunate to have some very talented artists who work in Offaly County Council and we are pleased to announce three exhibitions by our staff that are currently on show in Offaly."
The first is entitled 'A Work of Art' and is a collaborative exhibition featuring work by a variety of Offaly County Council staff. It opens at Áras an Chontae on Friday, March 9, and will be on display until March 30.
The second is an exhibition entitled 'Our Beautiful Environment,' presented by John O'Reilly, Annette Walshe-Troy and Leonard Geoghegan. It presents paintings capturing the rural beauty of our environment, from stunning churches to wild-looking cows. It will be on display at Edenderry Library from March 5 until March 30 and will have its launch there at 6.30pm on March 14.
The final exhibition is presented by Heather Law, featuring the painting included at the head of this article, and it will be on display for the entire month of March at Tullamore Library.
All are welcome to view all three exhibitions.
