Roscrea Heritage Society was delighted to host Laura Nugent and Dayna Quinlan for July’s Black Mills Session.
Opening the first half of the night, Laura gave a great solo performance and was then joined by her parents Ollie and Bernie.
Together, this talented trio took us way back with a number of well-known favourites such as 'Liverpool Lou', 'Whiskey on a Sunday' and 'Molly Malone'.
A special ambience could be felt in the room as Laura and Bernie sang a beautiful rendition of 'Amazing Grace' in memory of Bernie’s sister Elizabeth. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

For the second part of the night, the society was delighted to welcome back Dayna Quinlan. Dayna wowed the audience with a number of songs such as 'You Don’t Own Me' and 'Maybe This Time'. You could have heard a pin drop during her stunning rendition of Christine McVie’s 'Songbird'.
Dayna was joined by Colin Williams for a couple of songs such as 'St Olaf’s Gate' and 'Rainy Night in Soho' which simply captivated the crowd.
