Members of the Roscrea Speakers Club - the invite is always open to join the popular club
Roscrea Speakers Club next meeting is planned for this Thursday, February 1 on zoom via their meeting link.
Last Thursday, January 18 we held our fortnightly meeting on zoom and are one of the few clubs who offer this hybrid system which has proved very popular in attracting new members from different parts of the country.
Our meetings are held every second Thursday and are always available on zoom. Last Thursday we had a speech from the Pathways project chosen by the member. Each project offers different challenges to the speaker relevant to the stage in their journey.
With this Toastmasters International structure everybody gets to improve, learn and develop at their own pace in a comfortable and friendly environment. The speech was entitled 'Salt of the earth' and was from Presentation mastery level 4, with the objective of managing a difficult audience.
The speech was evaluated in a positive manner by another member and the speaker is given feedback and a suggestion of things to work on for their next project. By doing this we all learn from one another and help and encourage one another to improve.
As always our meeting was very enjoyable. The strength of any club is in its membership and we are always trying to grow our membership and strengthen our club.
We are always welcoming to any number of guests at any of our meetings (in person or on zoom) so if you find speaking in groups difficult or if you have an interview for a job, a best man speech, or need to deliver a presentation in work or in college, or just need to feel more confident in group situations, join our meeting on zoom on Thursday, February 1. You are sure to receive a warm and friendly Roscrea welcome.
