Artists Alan Keane, Jock Nichols and Pat Fitzpatrick are the artists featured in the exhibition in Damer House Gallery
ROSCREA'S Damer House Gallery underwent a renaissance recently with Damer House and the Castle Grounds extensively restored.
'On the Blink' is the title of the exhibition currently showing at Damer House Gallery, Roscrea and is open to the public.
It brings together the work of three artists who explore their shared interest in our relationship with nature and time in contrasting styles and media.
Alan Keanes' paintings are a distillation of experiences and observations of his encounters with the natural world, including a spell as artist in residence on board the government research ship Celtic Explorer.
Jock Nichols' pastel drawings were created on location in the Slieve Bloom mountains, leading to a very direct response to his subject.
Printmaker Pat Fitzpatrick shows etchings, depicting specific moments observed whilst walking in the woods or bogs , mounted on large charcoal drawings reminiscent of deep time and reminding us of the fragility of our environment.
The very interesting exhibition in the newly restored gallery runs until 11th August, 11am- 5.30pm, closed Mondays. Entry is free.
