Toastmasters

Our last meeting was on Thursday 9th of March in Rackett Hall Hotel as normal. Toastmaster on the night was Sean Dwan. Topicsmaster was Tony Hoctor. In the topics section of our meeting, a particular topic is put to a member and the challenge for him or her is to attempt to speak on the topic for as close to two minutes as possible.

We had two prepared speeches on the night, where our members volunteer from a number of weeks previous to perform a speech on a topic of their choice. Each member progresses at a pace that suits them and of their choosing with no pressure on them.

Both speeches were positively evaluated by Una Mooney and Alan Coffey respectively. We learn greatly from the positive and encouraging feedback that we get from the evaluations of our fellow members and so we all move forward together.

Operating our timer lights on this night was Matt Bourke and our meeting was evaluated at the end by Julie Murphy.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 23rd of March and every second Thursday thereafter, and always in Rackett Hall Hotel at 8pm sharp, or if preferred meetings can be attended online through zoom from your own home.

All new guests are always welcome to join our meetings in what ever capacity suits them with absolutely no obligation or pressure to join, and to see if the benefits our club offers can be of benefit to you in your social or work life.
