Roscrea Trail Blazers walk last Thursday was another well attended walk around the Kinnitty/Glinsk Castle Loop. A great walk taking the group by the Camcor River and returning by Kinnitty Castle. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
The walking club have a packed 2025 ahead with several trips overseas and a lot of challenge walks over the coming months. The walk this Thursday night, April 17, sees the club heading to the Bluebell Woodland Walk at Knockbarron Wood outside Kinnitty.
Distance 5.5km, Grade Easy/Moderate, Time 1.5 hours. Meeting at the Knockbarron Trail Head at 7.30pm, please bring head/hand torch.
Well done to club member Eileen Calahan who completed the arduous Maumturks Challenge at the weekend, 29km, over 3,000 mts of ascent and 12 hours in total, a fantastic achievement.
