Offaly Rowing ran their Tullamore Time Trial races on Saturday 6th Oct. This annual event was very well supported by entries from Rowing clubs from around the country. There was a large entry which created stiff competition for prizes. Offaly Rowing continue their great form this year with some good wins.
Declan Hogan won the masters men.
Callum McCaughan won the Junior 15 men
Eva Noyce won the Junior 14 Women
Roisin Byrne Won the Junior 12 Women.
The Women's Masters and overall winning rower on the day was Shelia Clavin from St Michaels. Shelia is a former Offaly Rower having learnt to row with Frank Durkin in Tullamore.
Other Offaly Rowers performed well on the day. Baithen Mooney Snr completed his first race in a single scull. The weather was perfect and the canal looked so well, it made for a great day's Rowing.
The excellent catering facilities under the direction of Denise Murphy helped sustain the rowers throughout the day.
Congratulations to all rowers and a word of thanks to all coaches parents and past rowers who helped out to make this event a great success.
The event will return next year.
