Mucky and poor underfoot conditions have not deterred thousands of people from attending day 2 of the National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, County Offaly.
While there was torrential rainfall in the midlands on Tuesday night, it has been dry and bright at the site of in Screggan since dawn.
Our reporters and photographers, who are out and about at the event, spotted these people slipping and sliding as they made their way round the site (watch the video above).
The programme for day 2 is set to be just as action-packed as day 1 with fashion shows, cookery demonstrations at the Midland Flavours and Farmers Journal stands, live machinery demos, the All-Ireland Lamb Shearing Championships, Irish Simmental National Calf Finals, the Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition, and the semi-finals of the National Brown Bread Baking Competition.

Visitors can also look forward to the ever-popular Most Appropriately Dressed Lady & Gentleman competitions, judged by influencer Holly Carpenter, alongside another thrilling day of ploughing at the heart of the event.
The official attendance for day 1 of the National Ploughing Championships was 78,500, up 3,000 from last year’s figures.
