Some drivers fell foul of the weather as they left the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co Laois on Tuesday.
The first day of the event drew a crowd of almost 70,000 people who endured torrid conditions.
Wind and rain hit the site all day but revellers were undeterred - that was until it came to getting their cars out of the muddy carparks.
A few unlucky drivers were stuck with wheels spinning in the deep mud while others tried to push them out.
People will do it all again on Wednesday.
