9 – Jordan Hayes - Jordan Hayes was one of Offaly's best players on the day. He carried the ball very well and used it with very effectively. He had one wide and there were a couple of other times when he could have taken shots on but his overall display was good. Rating – 8

10 – Kyle Higgins - Kyle Higgins had possibly his best game of the year. He got a super two pointer in the first half but it was his physical strength, his ball winning ability and his carrying of it that captured attention. He moved very well and his transformation from a decent club player into a county standard one has taken a lot of work and is evidenced by his strength and growing maturity and confidence. This year is shaping up to be a very important step building one for him. Rating – 9

11 – Cathal Flynn -Cathal Flynn's display was similar to Cormac Egan's. He was targeted by Meath as one of the players they had to stop but his influence was still considerable as he showed well, worked hard on and off the ball and moved so well at times. It didn't quite happen for him as openings were hard to find but his head never dropped and he kept going. It is a game that will serve him very well going forward- Rating – 7

12 – Keith O'Neill -Keith O'Neill made a sensational start to the game, getting five points, two of them from two pointers, almost in the blink of an eye. Meath couldn't live with him in the first half and he was brilliant. In the second half, however, they really tightened up on him and the Clonbullogue flier just couldn't get into the game or away from his man. He missed a crucial early chance as well and while it was the wrong side for a left footed kicker, he had players running off his shoulder – it is often easier to spot those things in the stand than in the heat of action and O'Neill will also learn a lot from this- Rating – 7.
