Two students present their innovative business ideas in German to judging panel

AT this inspiring event, the Enterprise German Final – attended by the German and Austrian ambassadors, the Head of Mission from the Swiss Embassy, representatives from German companies, and the Irish-German Chamber of Commerce – two student teams from Tullamore College presented their innovative business ideas in German.

1st place went to Dara Clarke, Darragh McGrath, Iarfhlaith Flynn Murphy, and Ryan Plunkett for their Airbus Academy app, designed to support pilot training with interactive quizzes. They won €300 and a visit to Airbus to try out their VR pilot training sequence.

3rd place went to Saoirse Garry and Ellen Martin for their Allianz Pedometer app, which offers insurance discounts for reaching 10,000 steps daily. They received €100 and prizes from Lindt.

Through this challenge, the students developed real-world language skills, teamwork, creativity, and confidence in presenting professionally – all while exploring future careers with German companies.

Thank you to the Goethe-Institut and all involved. Well done to the students and to their teacher, Ms McEvoy.
