Girls demonstrate school robot at Athlone event

Sacred Heart School students Rachel, Olivia, Jasmine and Olivia

Students from Sacred Heart School, Tullamore, proudly represented their school at the Motorsport Ireland Women in Motorsport Conference held in the Athlone Springs Hotel recently.

Olivia and Rachel took part in the SIM (simulation) and STEM (science, tech, engineering, maths) panel, where they discussed their VEX Robotics journey alongside Laura Hannan and Sosanna Ní Dhúbháin, highlighting the vital role of young women in STEM.

Meanwhile, students Jasmine and Emily showcased the school’s robot, drawing great interest from those in attendance.

The event celebrated women in all areas of motorsport and provided an excellent platform for the Sacred Heart students to demonstrate their innovation, teamwork, and leadership in STEM.
