Ireland is in for a mixed week of weather according to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for the coming week.
According to Met Eireann, the weather will be changeable this week with rain and showers at times but also spells of sunshine. Temperatures will fall back to the high teens earlier in the week before getting back into the 20s on Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, rain will extend nationwide on Monday morning, with heavy falls in places. Brighter weather will develop in the south and west during afternoon and evening with a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. Highest temperatures ranging from 13 to 17 degrees with light to moderate east or southeast winds.
Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will continue across the north and east for a time on Monday night. Elsewhere, there will be long clear spells and just a few showers, mainly near the south coast. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light easterly winds.
According to Met Eireann, there'll be rain or showers at times on Tuesday with some sunny spells also. At present, the most persistent rain is expected to affect parts of north Ulster and also south Munster but details are likely to change over the coming days. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate easterly winds. Drier conditions developing in many regions overnight with clear spells and just well scattered showers. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light easterly breezes.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Wednesday looks set to be a day of sunshine and showers with the chance of the odd heavy downpour. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, warmest across the west in light easterly breezes. Dry and mostly clear overnight with areas of mist and fog forming in light winds or calm conditions. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.
According to Met Eireann, Thursday will be another day of sunshine and showers. Some of the showers are likely to be heavy and thundery with the potential for some spot flooding. Maximum temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees but a little cooler at the coast as sea breezes develop.
