Tullamore Tidy Towns volunteers and workers from local company, Zoetis joined forces on Friday last to undertake works in the town.

This is the third day that workers from Zoetis have assisted with this work.

"We are delighted to get assistance from local companies with our projects for Tullamore.  Last Friday this group picked litter on the by-pass from the Arden Road roundabout all the way to the Charleville Road,2 Tidy Towns volunteer Sean O'Brien.

“This stretch of road is constantly being littered with motorists throwing litter out their windows as they pass through.  There is also some dumping of household waste as we found some bags full of rubbish.

“The litter warden will be notified as we have to stop this practice," added Cllr O'Brien..

"We also cleared out planters at the roundabout junction of New Road and Church Road.  These planters are now ready for sowing in the Spring.  We would like to thank the workers from Zoetis for their commitment and hard work"
