Final call for Offaly Rose hopefuls

OFFALY Rose Co Ordinator Lyn Moloney has issued a final call to all potential Offaly hopefuls for 2023.

Lyn commented that “the closing date is fast approaching and we would encourage any interested girls out there to get in touch as soon as possible”. We are still accepting applications until Monday April 24”. 

On Saturday evening, April  29Offaly Roses will gather at the Tullamore Court Hotel for a night full of entertainment, glamour and above all great fun as we find out who will represent Offaly at the Dome in Tralee 2023.

Roses will appear on stage to to speak with the legendary  MC  Ollie Turner and be put through their paces and cheered on by their families and friends. 

All applicants will be interviewed by a judging panel prior to Rose Selection night and will be guided through rehearsals on the day by Steve Cronly, Director of Operations with the International  Rose of Tralee Festival. 

The applicants have been meeting for the past number of weeks, where some attended a fun day out with the Laois Rose entrants at Fossey Mountains Springs Ranch. They've also been wined and dined at the Old Warehouse in Tullamore and have another outing planned before the big night on April 29th. 

Attendees will have the pleasure of the current International Rose Of Tralee, Rachel Duffy on the night where she will be interviewed by Mc Ollie Turner giving us an insight into her year so.

There will be prizes for ‘Best Dressed Lady’, Best Dressed Man and ‘Best Banner’, as well as a raffle, and lots of nice prizes to be won. 

So to any young ladies out there who may be interested in becoming the next Rose of Tralee but are a little nervous or apprehensive, reach out and get in touch. You will gain from this experience and who knows, maybe even become the 2023 Offaly Rose.
