Volunteers with Christmas shoeboxes destined for Ukraine

The Christmas Shoebox Appeal Offaly Coordinator, Jean Gill, and all the volunteers want to thank the people of Offaly who supported the 2022 Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
They are delighted to tell you that 3,244 shoeboxes donated by Offaly families left the warehouse and made their way to the children of Odessa, Ukraine.

“We feel very privileged that all our collective efforts in Offaly for Team Hope brightened so many children’s lives in Christmas 2022,” said Jean.
“We want to thank each and every person who donated wonderful shoeboxes, fabulous handcrafted and other shoebox fillers and generous cash donations (which were used to buy shoebox fillers!).”
Organisers also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Donal Rigney Hire Depot for the use of his warehouse for the second year in a row. The volunteers really appreciated having a warm cosy place to work again this year.
They are already planning for the 2023 Christmas Shoebox Appeal. You can keep up to date by following the Facebook page, Christmas Shoebox Appeal Offaly.
