A CONCERT featuring some of the finest musicians and singers in the region will take place this Friday, October 30 in the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore.

The All Hallows Eve Concert 2026 will feature Thomas Charles Marshall on organ, Grace Minnock on harp, soprano Caitlin Minnock, the trad group Siobhan Godley, Aidan Barry and Friends, and the Charivari Singers.

Thomas Charles Marshall is originally from Westmeath and began his musical education at St Finian’s College, Mullingar, where he studied under Shane Brennan as a member of the Schola Cantorum.

He later served as organ scholar at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, studying with the distinguished organist Peter Hurford.

Charles Marshall is active as a recitalist throughout Ireland while his international appearances have included engagements in Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

Grace Minnock is an Irish pianist, harpist and traditional musician from Rahan, Offaly who has won 19 All-Ireland Fleadh medals, achieving at least one medal every year from 2013 to 2025.

She made her solo piano debut at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, in 2023, and was awarded the Tullamore Gramophone Society Award at the 2026 Birr Trench Awards.

Grace graduated with First Class Honours in Music Education from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in 2024 and is currently completing a Master’s in Piano Performance at RIAM, studying with Maria McGarry. For this concert she will play the harp, including traditional tunes, works by Turlough O Carolan and one of her own compositions.

Caitlin Minnock, sister of Grace, is a soprano currently completing her Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where she studies with Kathleen Tynan and works with repetiteur Dearbhla Collins.

Caitlin holds First Class Honours Associates with the London College of Music in Classical Singing Performance and Violin Teaching.

She has achieved success in national competitions, including fourth place in the 2025 Irene Sandford Competition, where she received the Diane Carey Prize for Best Performance of a French Mélodie.

She has enjoyed continued success at Feis Ceoil over the years, most recently winning the Margaret Burke Sheridan Cup and German Government Cup in 2026. Her performance highlights include La Princesse in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, as well as participation in the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program in Tuscany.

Siobhán Godley, Aidan Barry and Friends, with Siobhan on flute and Aidan on guitar, play together regularly at traditional music sessions around the Midlands. They are best known for their great sound and lively trad music.

This is the first ever live performance for the Charivari Singers. The ensemble originated in a group of friends meeting on Saturday mornings to sing beautiful old part songs and madrigals. Their programme spans almost five centuries and four different languages.

The group comprises Alice Griffin and Barbara Tynan (sopranos), Máire McKay and Jo Rodgers (altos), Derek Fanning and Gavin Murphy (tenors) and Ken Poland and Tony Monaghan (basses).

Thomas Charles Marshall will play on the Frobenius Organ (1965), which was a precious gift from the Lutheran Community in Copenhagen to the Church of the Assumption in Tullamore at a time when the church had been rebuilt following a devastating fire in 1983.
