Lowry in the hunt for second Top 10 finish in a week at Nedbank
Offaly's Shane Lowry remains one under par at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa after an underwhelming third round on Saturday morning.
Lowry looked to put the demons of a triple-bogey on Friday behind him as he started his third round with a birdie, and settled into a string of pars to remain within touching distance of the leaders.
He was three under at the seventh when he secured another birdie but a double-bogey on the very next hole cancelled out all of his good early work.
He recovered well with a birdie at 9, but once more a bogey on 10 halted his progress.
The Esker Hills man managed to steady the ship and made par on the remaining holes to sign for his second level par round of the week, leaving him at one under par for the tournament.
He sits in a share of 14th spot, just two strokes off the Top 5, while he looks out of reach of the leader Scott Jamieson who is eight under par.
He tees off on his final round early on Sunday morning.
