Clodiagh Gaels and Kilcormac-Killoughey will clash again in 2025
KILCORMAC KILLOUGHEY
Manager - Mark Leonard
Selectors - Tommy Bracken Ciaran Kenny
Captain - Shane Melia
Absentees - Cathal Kilmartin is injured while Dan Currams has retired;
New players – None;
Last year – Won the title for the second successive year;
Star player – Peter Geraghty – K-K have held onto the experienced Geraghty for senior “B” in the past couple of years, only playing in the top flight after they had won, but with their senior squad badly hit at the moment, he could be taken much earlier this year.
Prospects – K-K's achievement in winning both senior and senior “B” titles in the past two years is breathtaking. It shows the huge array of talent at their disposal and they are the favourites to make it three in a row at this grade. It wouldn't be a bad thing at all for hurling in the county if they didn't do that but that is not K-K's problem and they are very much the team to beat. Their senior team will be down players early in the year and if they lose players off this team, it will have a big impact. K-K will run out of road at some stage at this grade and this could be that year but the challenge is for someone to take them off their pedestal!
