Tullamore Cycling and Touring Club would like to acknowledge the recent success of club member Josephine Healion, a member of the Irish Women’s Para-Cycling team who were crowned ‘Team of the Year’ at the ‘Her-Sports’ awards on Saturday night last.

The 2024 'Her Sport' Awards presented by Lidl, took place recently at UCD. This sponsorship helps to continue a proud tradition of celebrating the incredible achievements of Irish sportswomen and the volunteers who make this possible, thereby driving equality and recognition for women in sport.

Josie was a member of the 2024 Irish Para-Cycling team. In September 2024, Josie represented Ireland in road cycling and finished in fourth place in the road race B and fifth place in the road time trial B. She also competed in track cycling and finished in fifth place in the individual pursuit B and seventh place in the time trial B. Weeks later she competed at the 2024 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships and won a bronze medal in the road race B event.

Congratulations to you Josie and your team-mates from all your cycling buddies at Tullamore Cycling and Touring Club!!
