Football rumours: Manchester City look to seal Erling Haaland’s future

Manchester City are turning their attention to agreeing a new deal for striker Erling Haaland The Sun reports.

With Pep Guardiola reported to have agreed a new one-year deal, City are hoping that development will help persuade the 24-yeard-old to sign an extension which could earn him around £100 million.

Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo is catching the eye of Premier League rivals. According to The Sun, Liverpool and Newcastle are interested in the Cameroon forward, 25.

Manchester United could turn to a long-term target, despite new manager Ruben Amorim being told he will not get major funds to spend in January. The Daily Mail reports United have renewed their interest in Everton’s England defender Jarrad Branthwaite, 22.

United are also being linked with Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande. According to the Metro, the 20-year-old has spoken with his former Sporting boss Amorim about making the move from Lisbon.
