Obama Plaza lecture to explore 1,000 years of Offaly history

As part of the Dunkerrin Parish History Society's 2017/18 Lecture Series, James C. Feighery will present, 'Rollestons - A Thousand Years of History' in Offaly on Wednesday, December 6. 

The lecture will cover the period from the 10th century to the present day, the family history, arrival in Ireland and move to King's County, exploring aspects from King James to the IRB, poetry and the co-op movement.  

The talk takes place at 8pm on Wednesday, December 6, at the Barack Obama Plaza in Moneygall, and promises to be an enlightening look into a fascinating time in Offaly, Irish and British history.

Admission to the talk is €5 and the full facilities of the Obama Plaza will be available to attendees.
