Tullamore Harriers team performs well at National Intermediate Cross Country Championships

This year’s National Intermediate Cross Country championships were held in Tuam. 

Last Sunday’s 8000m race proved challenging with sticky ground on a hilly course.  The Harriers team of Dave Murray, Leonard Mooney, Mick Conneely, Darren Butler, Liam Byrne and Rory Farrell represented the club well in a very competitive event.  They finished 11th in the club competition and 4th county with Dave Murray leading the team home.  Well done to the team.

Harriers results: Dave Murray 31st (31.31); Leonard Mooney 52nd (32.51); Mick Conneely 55th (32.57); Conor Mooney 65th (33.51); Darren Butler 67th (34.06); Liam Byrne 69th (34.13); Rory Farrell 79th (35.15).

Leinster Star Awards 2016

Congratulations to Mark Milner, Dean Power and Jana Joha who were the Offaly recipients of the Leinster Star Awards for 2016 which were presented at a ceremony in Carlow last Saturday night.


The club offers its condolences to Eugene Mann and his family on the recent death of his mother Mary.  May she rest in peace.


Membership for 2017 is now due and should be paid hy the end of January.  Membership runs for the calendar year and forms are available from the club house.

Access to Harriers Facilities

Please note that use of the club’s facilities, including the tarmac track, is restricted to members of the club.  Walkers are not permitted on the track during training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm-8pm.








A list of AAI-licensed fixtures is available on 

Training for adults every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm and Sunday at 8.00am
