Leona Maguire is the top ranked Irish female golfer in today's game. The Cavan native, who turned professional in 2018 after years of dominating amateur golf, helped Europe win the 2021 Solheim Cup and has also excelled as an individual golfer in recent times. Maguire became the first Irish woman to achieve success in an LPGA Tour event earlier this year when she won the LPGA Drive On Championship. The world number 17 placed in T4 at the Women's Open a few weeks ago which was her best ever major finish to date.
