Former Coláiste Naomh Cormac Student Receives Prestigious University of Galway Excellence Scholarship

Coláiste Naomh Cormac is delighted to congratulate former student Jiani Guinan on receiving a prestigious University of Galway Excellence Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.

Jiani, who is currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Galway, was awarded the scholarship after achieving the highest CAO points score among her cohort of 75 first-year Pharmacy students. Only one Excellence Award is presented within the Pharmacy programme, making this a particularly significant accomplishment.

The University of Galway Excellence Scholarships recognise exceptional academic performance among incoming undergraduate students. This year, 50 students from 40 secondary schools nationwide will receive the award, which includes a scholarship valued at €1,200 and formal recognition at a special awards ceremony on campus.

Jiani will be honoured at the University of Galway Excellence Scholarships Ceremony in November, where her academic success will be celebrated alongside other high achieving students from across the country.
