A busy November ahead for Age Friendly Roscrea

Catch up with friends at one of the many events organised by Age Friendly Roscrea
November will be a busy month for Age Friendly Roscrea who are fresh from their very enjoyable recent Rambling House in the Courthouse – there is an invite to join them for some wonderful cosy evenings as the winter evenings and nights close in.
Age Friendly Roscrea had another successful Rambling House last Wednesday with wonderful songs and stories from a big audience, and of course their very talented band of musicians.
The ukulele group, led by Fionán Stapleton, played and sang their way through several popular tunes and it was a night of songs, stories and smiles for everyone who attended and made the event so memorable.
The next Rambling House will be on Wednesday, November 4th at 7pm in the courthouse and everyone is invited to attend for a repeat of a great night of community entertainment.
November will be a busy month with a few events on involving Age Friendly Roscrea.
On Friday 6th November Nenagh Brass Band will host a concert in St. Cronan’s RC Church at 7.30pm with all proceeds raised at the event going to Age Friendly Roscrea.
The very popular Rosie Greys singing group and the ukulele group will also perform on the night.
On Saturday Novevmber 21st there will be a Parish Rambling House in the Muintir na Tíre Hall, and all are welcome and on Saturday, November 28th, Roscrea Community Choir hold their concert in St. Cronan’s RC Church – tickets are €20, with a donation going to Age Friendly Roscrea.
For Climate Action Week Age Friendly Roscrea held a Plaster Bas Relief workshop facilitated by Monica O’Meara, who is a very talented ceramic artist on Tuesday 27th October.
The Friday Club is a popular group which meets from 2-4pm every Friday with a door-to-door bus service. As winter approaches you may wish to have the Senior Alert Alarm for peace of mind and security. Our meals on wheels service continues with deliveries on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
