Seven Irish hotels among 25 best resorts in Europe on Condé Nast list

Adare Manor in Limerick, Ashford Castle in Mayo and Trump International in Clare place in top five Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards

Seven hotels in Ireland have been named in the top 25 of the best resorts in Europe.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are renowned as the longest-running and most respected recognition of excellence in the travel world, showcasing the very best destinations and experiences. 

Three Irish hotels feature in the top five, with Adare Manor in county Limerick taking the top spot for the third year in a row.

Ashford Castle, county Mayo and Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg in Clare placed in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Sheen Falls Lodge in county Kerry and Dromoland Castle in Clare came in sixth and tenth place on the prestigous list, with Europe Hotel & Resort and the Dunloe in Killarney, both in Kerry placing 12th and 18th.

This year, 575,000 readers casted their votes, sharing insights into their favourite hotels, resorts, and travel experiences.

These voters assessed a range of criteria, including service, atmosphere, dining, and overall guest experience.

Posting the news on social media, the Trump International Doonbeg said they were "honored to be recognized in the 2024 Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards".

"Thank you to all who voted for us, we appreciate your support."

Sharing their win, Dromoland Castle thanked their " wonderful visitors who have stayed with us and voted, and also our amazing team, who come to work each and every day with a smile and a warm welcome.

"We love our team. We truly do. We love that you love our team too."
