An area within the grounds of University Hospital Limerick has been sealed off following the find
GARDAI have launched an investigation after a body of a man was found in an area of land within University Hospital Limerick.
Officers are on the scene of the incident, in a grassy area at the hospital's premises in Dooradoyle.
It's understand it is located near the helipad in the hospital grounds.

The discovery was made late on Thursday night, and the area has been sealed off for a technical examination.
It is believed the man is aged in his 40s. The discovery, it is understood, was made by a member of hospital staff.
A post-mortem is expected to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
The result of this will determine the course of the investigation.
