'I'll take that Buddha!' One man's trash is another man's treasure as 'hidden gems' are dumped

THE weird and wonderful trinkets that can be found while cleaning out your house might look like trash to one person but may be a treasure to someone else.

This theory has been tested at Fitzgerald skip hire in County Limerick with the company taking to Instagram to showcase the forgotten gems they found while sorting through the skips.

There was ornaments from around the world located at the plant with a golden Buddha, and African wooden statue, a New York Plaque and even Irish crystal that was completely untouched.

Other items included a dog statue, a sliver pitcher and old floral cookware.

You might think that these things sound like rubbish but for the right price these items could sell at auction for a high value, especially given the rarity of some of them.

One comment underneath the companies video read "I'll take that Buddha if the money is right", showing one person's junk is another's persons gold.
