Birr's Mairéad Cashen Slevin to perform for Roscrea's Blackmills Sessions

Mairéad Cashen Slevin will perform on May 30 in the historic Blackmills in Roscrea hosted by the Heritage Society

Roscrea Heritage Society are looking forward to hosting Mairéad Cashen Slevin for what promises to be a fabulous evening of ballads, country, 70s, 80s & everything in between on May 30 in the historic Blackmills in Roscrea.

Mairéad started singing in school shows when she attended St Brendan's Community School. Following this she joined Birr Stage Guild and loved it and went on to win Star of the Midlands at the age of 18.

Her Husband Dom heard her sing and asked if she would join a band and so she fronted the band known as 'Touchdown and Silver Wings'.

After having children Mairéad and Dom went out on their own and as time went on , Mairéad went solo. When Covid set in she started working in a nursing home and loved it so much that she never went back gigging since.

Mairéad is looking forward to her performance in the mill and hopes to see some familiar faces and get that wonderful feeling of entertaining if only for one night only!️
