Fianna Fáil local election candidate for Nenagh, Ryan O'Meara, is advocating for improved public amenities to be built in the community to enhance the area and tackle community issues in areas such as anti-social behaviour.
O'Meara says that in Nenagh, there is a clear need for a new dog park and skate park, and this has been consistently raised with him throughout his campaign.
He said: “I am advocating for improved amenities such as playgrounds, pitches and community spaces to be built and for existing spaces to be given further attention in terms of maintenance in Nenagh and surrounding areas.
"In Nenagh in particular, there is a need for a new dog park and skate park and this is something that has been raised with me by residents.
"If elected, I would prioritise working to deliver these amenities. The important role they would play in enhancing our community cannot be understated.
“Additionally, I strongly believe that our local schools, clubs and associations need support from the entire community.
"To this end, I am continuing to work on securing Sports Capital Grants for local clubs, and I met with Minister for Sport Thomas Byrne last week to discuss this.
Concluding, O'Meara said: "Providing more amenities for young people in our local area is a key part of my campaign, because I know just how important they are to helping families in our community thrive."
