Roscrea's Main Street requires repair traders tell elected reps

Roscrea's Main Street is in such a poor state it presents a trip hazard locals say

ROSCREA'S Main Street has become seriously dilapidated and local traders have called on elected local authority members to get a resurfacing job carried out.

The issue was raised at the monthly meeting of the Municipal Council for the Roscrea, Thurles and Templemore area on Monday, where Director of Services for the area, Eamonn Lonergan, said some remedial works might be possible next year depending on funding.

Roscrea's Town First Masterplan will incluide an overhaul of Main Street and Mr. Lonergan said that subject to when funding is released to further the project, some surface works might be possible before the Masterplan project proceeds and said he will update the members at their October meeting.
