A Garda spokesperson told The Midland Tribune this week that a public order incident recently took place in a takeaway restaurant on Main Street in Birr Town.
“At half past eleven at night on Sunday February the 19th,” he said, “a young male entered the takeaway restaurant in a very aggressive and emotional state. He began flipping over the tables and chairs in the premises. He also tried to pull the front door off its hinges.”

“The incident is currently under investigation,” said the spokesperson, “and we would welcome help from any witnesses who were present.”
