A publican in Offaly has called out a "slimeball" punter by sharing video footage of his antics on social media.

Ger Hough from JJ Hough's Singing Pub in Banagher included the footage in his weekly round-up clip shared to Facebook. He described the punter, who allegedly "pushed past a female bouncer," a "pathetic parasite."

The video shows the young punter making his way through the busy pub, including appearing to hit a fellow drinker in the face and "trespassing" at the rear of the pub after "being put out."

In the video, Ger Hough says: "The pub is a space where you want to come in and enjoy yourselves and relax, and 99% of people do, but there is always one parasite, one little predator going around the place.

"I'm getting a little fed up of society's 'say nothing, say nothing,' no, it's time to stand up to these guys, call them out for what they are instead of standing back, smiling and sniggering, stand up to them!"

As he dubbed the clip, he added: "Look at him in action, the little slimeball, pathetic parasite. Don't ever come back to the pub again. We've hidden your identity but you've been warned."

Ger then went on to share more footage of a brilliant week at the popular pub, including the Day 2 of a wedding. Ger said there was "a brilliant atmosphere" in the pub all week, reminding him of "high summer nights."

The pub capped their week by winning the award for Best Traditional Bar at the Midlands 103 Hospitality Awards 2025.
