If you didn't receive a food delivery in the Portarlington area on Sunday, there might be an explanation.
Laois Offaly Gardaí seized a car from a delivery driver in Portarlington on Sunday for numerous offences
Gardaí posted an image of the Volkswagen car on social media along with an explanation of their reasons for seizing the car.
Gardai said that while on patrol on Sunday, they stopped and seized the vehicle being driven without insurance whilst out delivering food in the locality,” gardaí stated.
“The driver of the vehicle was also a learner permit holder and driving without a full licence driver or L plates. There was a severely bald tyre on the vehicle as well as no tax or NCT,” gardaí added.
They said fines will be issued along with summonses will now be issued to the driver.
