Using their new automatic number plate recognition technology, Gardaí seized a car in the centre of Roscrea town after they detected a series of serious road offences.
Tipperary Roads Policing Unit stopped a car on Lourdes Road in Roscrea last week following an ANPR hit for no motor insurance.
Upon inspection the Gardaí found the driver was not a driving licence holder, had no insurance and no NCT on the vehicle.
Two passengers were not wearing safety belts and the motor tax for the vehicle had expired 182 days previous to the detection.
The car was seized on the roadside and and court to follow for the driver, the Gardaí said.
