South Offaly Ploughing Match on Sunday February 18th

A competitor taking part in the National Ploughing Championships.

SOUTH Offaly Ploughing Branch will hold their annual ploughing match on Sunday February 18th on the lands of Pat Mahon at Grange, Clareen, Birr by kind permission.

Up to 50 competitors are expected to compete on the day across several different ploughing classes including reversible, conventional, farmerette and vintage.

The event is an opportunity for spectators to see some of the most skilful competitors in the country in action with both modern and vintage tractors and ploughs. Ploughing competitions start at 12 noon.


Table Quiz

South Offaly Ploughing Branch will also hold their annual table quiz on Friday February 9th in Kelly's, The Green, Birr at 8.30pm. The proceeds of the night will be donated towards Midlands Living Links who provide support for families bereaved by suicide. Its promises to be a very enjoyable night and your support will be greatly appreciated.
