6: Centre half back – Johnny Moloney (Tullamore)
Johnny Moloney was full forward for the first couple of games and went back centre back from the final group game against Edenderry. It wasn't his best ever year in the Tullamore jersey but he can't be left off this team. Tullamore would have found it hard to have won the championship without his leadership, drive and ability. He was immense at times and helped power Tullamore into a winning position in the replay against Rhode. Rhode's Dylan Kavanagh was a serious consideration here.
