Lee Pearson makes the team by virtue of honesty with which he marked opposing forwards. The Offaly U-20 star loves to get forward at pace but he went out to defend first and foremost, playing consistently well in an ultimately disappointing year for Edenderry – his tussle with his U-20 team mate Cathal Flynn in the quarter-final defeat by Ferbane was one of the highlights of the season and while Flynn was man of the match that day, Pearson got his hands on a lot of ball.
