11: Centre half forward – Diarmuid Egan (Tullamore)
Diarmuid Egan was a revelation in the Tullamore attack this year, coming of age as a club senior footballer. He was arguably the most improved footballer in Offaly as he ran at teams from centre half forward as well as showing great composure and intelligence on the ball. County football is a big step up for him but he is worth a chance at this level and it would be interesting to see where that level of training would bring him. Joe Maher had some very good games for Ferbane but was sent off in the first half of the quarter-final against Edenderry, missing the semi-final as a result.
